When decontaminating CMR substances, we also work efficiently as specialists. CMR substances, short for Carcinogenic, Mutagenic and Reprotoxic, can cause damage to health. You often only notice this years after coming into contact with one of these substances. Working with CMR substances is prohibited by law in the Netherlands, and employers are obliged to protect their employees. Remediation is then a logical step.

How dangerous are asbestos and chromium-6 to my health?
Exposure to asbestos can lead to serious lung diseases in severe cases. CMR substances can cause serious diseases in the most severe cases and be harmful to the reproduction and development of unborn children.
What happens to the waste and materials removed during remediation?
It depends on the hazardous substance. In the case of chromium-6, remediation allows us to convert the substance to non-harmful chromium-3 particles, allowing us to dispose of the waste and eliminate wastewater. In the case of asbestos, we dispose of the waste in designated, safe waste bags.
